Responsibilities:

Supervision and implementation of the course-accompanying tutorial (in English) for the basic course Understanding North America B with a focus on economics
Support with the Blackboard supervision of the course Preparation and coordination of the final exam via e-examination
Support in the preparation and implementation of the orientation seminars Statistical Reasoning and Economic Reasoning
Assisting the department members in their research, preparation of conferences and workshops
Website maintenance

Desired:

Students in MA North American Studies or MA Economics or students in BA North American Studies who have completed UNA and the Economics orientation module or students in BA Economics. Basic knowledge of the North American economy.

The tutorial requires extensive basic knowledge of economics and the ability to teach it in English.
Excellent English language skills including very good English expression and formulation skills (equivalent to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) to conduct the tutorial
Strong organizational skills for coordinating the various subject tutorials and communicating with students and teachers
Ability to work in a team with tutors from other departments Very good research and library skills
