Mathias Haeussler
Dr Mathias Haeussler is Assistant Professor of Modern European History at the University of Regensburg. He was previously Junior Research Fellow at Magdalene College (University of Cambridge) and has held fellowships at the German Historical Institute and the Kluge Center at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. His publications include Inventing Elvis: An American Icon in a Cold War World (London: Bloomsbury, 2021) and Helmut Schmidt and British-German Relations: A European Misunderstanding (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2019). He is currently working on a book project on Tourism in the German Empire around 1900.
