As part of the Long Night of the Sciences (Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften) on 24 June 2017, the Berlin Potsdam Research Group / KFG - The International Rule of Law - Rise or Decline? would like to invite you to a panel discussion about

“International Law in Crisis – On the Challenges Caused by Terrorism and Populism”

International law is currently put into question by populist movements and by terrorist violence. Are these short-term phenomena regarding a long-term development towards an ever intense juridification of international relations? Or are these signs of a fundamental change in global structures? Can international law confront the terrorist threat in a meaningful way and help to confine it? Is the rise of populism counterproductive in the global war against terror? Is international law facing a radical transformation?
