Tim is a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the John F. Kennedy Institute, Free University of Berlin. He is also a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Technical University of Vienna.

Tim completed his PhD (Cities) in 2023 at the London School of Economics and Political Science, for which he examined the global rise of the ‘co-living’ sector. Prior to this, he was a researcher at LSE Cities. Since completing his PhD, Tim has been a postdoctoral researcher at Cardiff University, working on an ESRC-funded project on the political economy of land. In addition to his PhD, he holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and King’s College London.
