The John-F.-Kennedy Institute at Freie Universitaet Berlin condemns the heinous attacks carried out by Hamas against Israel. Our sympathy goes out to the countless victims of this war and their relatives and loved ones. In particular, we stand in solidarity with our colleagues and students at Haifa University, Tel Aviv  University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Bar-Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Reichman University.
 
Our thoughts are equally with the students from Israel and the Gaza Strip at our Institute who now fear for their relatives and friends back home.
