Open Doors 2006 report: number of U.S. students studying in Germany up by 9,6%

According to the yearly Open Doors report released by the Institute for International Education (IIE), the number of U.S. students studying abroad has increased by 7,7 % in 2004/2005. Europe remains the top destination for U.S. students, with Germany ranking number five (seven worldwide). From the academic year 2003/2004 to 2004/2005 the number of U.S. students studying in Germany has increased from 5.985 to 6.559, a hike of 9,6 %.
