Simon Voss, Determinants of Overcrowding in Germany
SOEP 2024 – 15th International German Socio-Economic Panel User Conference
On July 4, 2024, project team member Simon Voß presented interim results of the first sub-project at the International SOEP User Conference. The presentation included descriptive analyses of the phenomenon of housing shortages as well as regression analyses to weigh the causes of housing shortages and to identify at-risk groups. The presentation was well attended and received positive feedback as well as numerous suggestions. In the subsequent discussion, the relationship between overcrowding and housing costs, as well as other regional factors, were discussed.
