GSNAS Alumna Elisabeth Engel has recently won the Franz Steiner Prize for her Dissertation "African American (Anti-)Colonialism - The African Methodist Episcopal Church and Colonial Africa During the Interwar Years". The biennial prize is awarded by the Franz Steiner publishing house and the German Historical Institute in Washington DC in recogition of an outstanding scientific manuscript in the area of transatlantic relations or research on North America from the early modern period to the present.Congratulations!
