On Wednesday, November 28, from 14-16h the first Alt-Right Roundtable will take place at the JFK-Institute (Room 203). At this roundtable, Simon Strick will present and discuss his current research into the online-based Alt-Right, and their affective and identitarian strategies.
The Roundtable provides a space of discussion, where all participants can debate the role and threat of the Alt-Right, its impact on American Studies and American culture, and the general cultural and political climate.
All participants are welcome to participate in the format, with their experiences, questions, and ideas for countermeasures. Each Roundtable (of which three are planned until Summer 2019) will feature a guest speaker, a short presentation, and an open exchange after that.
At the First Roundtable, Dr. Simon Strick will introduce his research project with Prof. Diane Negra (UCD) as a discussant.
